Jim Royer
Jim Royer brings nearly four decades of distinguished law enforcement leadership to the team. With 38 years of service, he retired as a Captain from the Hawthorne Police Department, where he held key leadership roles across patrol, investigations, and specialized units. His career reflects a consistent record of operational excellence, strategic vision, and commitment to community safety.
A graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy (Session 254), Jim has been recognized for his ability to build effective teams, foster inter-agency collaboration, and implement forward-looking policing strategies. His leadership extended beyond local law enforcement, as he went on to serve as Deputy Director for the Los Angeles High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area’s (HIDTA) Impact program, where he coordinated regional efforts to dismantle major narcotics and violent crime organizations and strengthen public safety initiatives.
With his depth of experience, Jim offers valuable perspective to professionals preparing for career transitions. He emphasizes the importance of leadership, adaptability, and sound decision-making—qualities that transcend law enforcement and create opportunities for success across a wide range of industries.
Andy Langan
Andy Langan brings a lifetime of public service and leadership to the team. A retired DEA Supervisory Special Agent with more than 22 years of federal law enforcement experience, he began his career serving as a police officer and detective with the Lexington, Kentucky Police Department. During that time, he also proudly served as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps Military Police, balancing the demands of military and police service with an unwavering commitment to protecting his community and country.
Throughout his career, Andy managed complex domestic and international assignments, including high-profile criminal investigations, multi-agency initiatives, and strategic program development. He is recognized for his ability to lead diverse teams, navigate challenging operational environments, and deliver results under pressure, skills that translate seamlessly into corporate, compliance, consulting, and other professional arenas.
Andy is passionate about helping law enforcement professionals transition into fulfilling private sector careers. He leverages his own career experience to guide others in identifying transferable skills, building strategic career plans, and confidently pursuing new opportunities beyond the badge
Mike Allen
Michael L. Allen is a veteran federal law enforcement executive with more than 37 years of distinguished service with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Over the course of his career, he specialized in DEA compliance, counter-threat finance, and asset protection, earning a reputation as a trusted leader in safeguarding national security and regulatory integrity.
As an Assistant Special Agent in Charge and senior investigator, Michael directed complex investigations targeting transnational organized crime, pharmaceutical diversion, and financial crimes. His leadership produced billions of dollars in asset forfeitures and civil fines, while also strengthening interagency coordination with OFAC, FINCEN, the FBI, and other federal and international partners.
Michael advanced enforcement strategy by developing innovative approaches, including the establishment of DEA cyber training programs and the integration of enhanced financial data analytics into criminal investigations. He also supervised large, multi-disciplinary teams and managed high-level operations across the country.
Today, Michael applies his decades of investigative and compliance expertise to supporting law enforcement professionals as they transition into private-sector careers. By bridging operational experience with business leadership needs, he helps former agents and officers position their unique skills for long-term success beyond public service.
Rick Ryan
Rick Ryan is a career law enforcement executive with more than 35 years of service, including over 25 years in senior leadership roles. Retiring as Undersheriff and Chief Deputy of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, he built a reputation for effective administration, problem-solving, and strategic planning. His career reflects a lifelong dedication to public service, community trust, and professional leadership.
Throughout his tenure, Ryan supervised large operational units, managed high-profile investigations, and coordinated major public events. He previously served as a public relations and information officer, where he became a trusted liaison with the media, and as a communications skills instructor, training officers in effective engagement and professional standards. Known for his collaborative leadership style, he fostered strong working relationships with the public, law enforcement peers, and government partners.
Ryan’s professional background also includes investigative service with the Florida State Attorney’s Office (7th Circuit), and an early foundation as a patrolman, deputy, and supervisor across multiple Florida agencies. A graduate of the FBI National Academy (203rd Session), he brought advanced training and leadership expertise into each role, strengthening operational performance and organizational accountability.
Today, Rick Ryan is committed to supporting fellow law enforcement professionals as they prepare for life beyond the badge. By helping officers recognize the value of their public service experience and translate it into private-sector opportunities, he continues to ensure their skills, leadership, and integrity make a lasting impact well after their careers in uniform.
